The optional passenger mirror, the lockable fuel filler...all of these are fighting faded paint and a fender dent as if the depreciation weren’t enough to seal your fate. Even being a later and bigger-engined example, it won’t be enough.

My 240 wagon is 26, and I’ve done a bunch of work to it. It’d take a pretty big deal for me to scrap it out.

This isn’t one of those. The Pulsar doesn’t have a following, niche or otherwise. This car hasn’t had money spent on it, aside from what it’s cost to keep it going. And it looks okay, but it needs new paint. I don’t think it will ever get it.
