This is kind of confusing. The 747 isn’t dead - just for united. There is a new variant (the 747-8) that has a dreamliner cockpit.

With the way that orders are going, the 747-8i might as well be dead too.

Delta is also set to end operations with the 747.

Yeah, that’s too bad. I don’t think there is a bad version of the 747. They’re all pretty incredible to fly on. It’s always a bit louder than an A380 but you trade that for Cadillac smoothness. Anyone that hates flying should ride a 747.
