Two Miatas becomes no Miatas. I had the red one up for sale for a while, and a bunch of people were messaging me about it. I threw the black car up on Facebook marketplace for shits and giggles and it was sold inside about two hours. I’ve got a guy coming back here in an hour for the red one.
It was fun, owning two Miatas, but ultimately I decided I didn’t want to throw a bunch of cash at the red car. And I felt, for some reason, that selling one meant I would sell both...just a weird way my brain works, and I was right.
So what now? I need a snowblower, so that’s next I guess. How boring.

So as of this year I had been driving for 16 years (I’m 33), which is 192 months. In that time I’ve owned 46 cars, which works out to an average of 4.17 months per car. The average really should be lower than that because one car, a 2001 Audi allroad quattro, accounts for four of my 16 years. Taking out that one car and those four years, the average is 3.2 months. So...yeah I guess you’re right, hahaha.

My mid 20's were a flurry of vehicles, but then I got a vehicle that was so damn good I couldn’t bear to get rid of it. I bought my ‘06 Sierra brand new, and legitimately considered getting rid of it as early as two months into owning it. Nearly 12 years later, I still have it. I’ve had some others come and go, but my primary vehicle has been my Sierra. It’s not the best at anything, but it’s good at so many things, and has been so reliable, that I can’t see it leaving my fleet anytime soon. It breaks my heart that the rocker panels are starting to rust.
