Not the same situation, but I love when I tip the valet and come back to find my Dodge parked in with the AMGs and Maseratis. You think they would have standards for that, no matter how generous the tipper, but apparently not.

The techs at my local dealership do that too. Last time my 335i was in between a B6 and an M3 ZCP. I was nervous to open my door lol. I think they just like whatever manual cars come through. I mean, it’d feel pretty special after moving automatic 320i’s around all day.

You’d think that a manual in a bmw wouldn’t stick out much, but on the rare occasions when mine goes into the local dealer, they take notice and seem impressed, too - and it’s just a 323.

Yup, I almost always get a comment from a tech/advisor/any other employee. Glad they have some enthusiasm!
