There are some stupid-cheap IS-Fs out there.

Somewhere between 20 and 30 grand for 416 hp? I can see the temptation.

Take off all the badges, and do something about those curious exhaust tips, and you’ve got yourself a hell of a sleeper.

It’s too bad the driving position is horrid. Drop the seat frame and maybe it would be livable.

2011+ models are the better ones. Better suspension tuning, & factory LSD.

It also sounds really, really good. That V8 is a fantastic sounding engine.

Really? What is it? Too high? To close? I know the backseat in this gen is tight as hell.

Too high inside the car, even with the seat lowered all the way. Not enough interior space either, so the pedals are pushed to the left way too much as well, even though this IS F does not have AWD.

It’s a fun weekend car. No way I would ever DD one though.

Ahh that fucking sucks. My C300 I could get as low as possible, to the point where you literally had step down into it when it was street parked.

Pretty sure I’ve said it on here before but if I ever go back to having a luxury car it’ll be a Lexus. Almost got an IS after I hit a deer with my GS. Ended up with a Corolla.

The IS F is no SUV. It’s just the seat frame is too tall. You sit low with the seat down all the way. But I still dislike how the driving position feels. I still felt like I was driving on the roof rather than sitting in the car.

How did that happen? From an IS to a Corolla?

They are pretty nice cars - especially the later ones with tweaked suspension.

That said, most of the ones I saw under 30k were thrashed and abused and weren’t examples I would recommend to anyone. But that was a couple of years ago, so maybe things have changed.

The early cheaper ones also have a really harsh suspension and the suspension could really use some tweaking to really enjoy the car. But the 8 speed is pretty decent and the engine is nice.

GS to a Corolla actually. Funktheduck almost got an IS.

Pragmatism prevailed. The better gas mileage, cheaper maintenance, and much lower sale price mattered more for a car I planned on putting a lot of miles on

A guy I work with has just about 100k miles on his and has literally done zero maintenance. Like not even brake pads yet, only oil changes. I don’t think any M3 owner can say that.
