Someone reached out to me from Autotrader about my CLK for sale . He’s the only serious person I’ve talked to about it, since other people have only lowballed me. This guy is taking the time get a PPI done, at his expense, so hopefully he’ll buy it, since the car is in pretty good shape for it’s age.
Now I just need to decide on what I want after the CLK... That’s the hard part.

If he doesn’t take it, ask for a copy of the PPI - you can give it to another buyer as full disclosure.

Congrats, good luck. I know the frustration, I’ve had a car listed for about 6 months now and have gotten about 12 contacts regarding it, but 10 of them never got back to me after I called them, one lowballed to an unrealistic degree, and one seemed seriously interested, but just cancelled on me for tomorrow.

Nice. It seems like you have bluetooth for your iPod but not to connect your phone. Is that right? Did it come with that, or did you have to retrofit it? The Jags I was looking at that time period were the opposite. They had bluetooth connection for the phone, but you had to buy an iPod kit to play your music, and you couldn’t stream.

In my experience (as both buyer and seller) once you’ve sprung for a PPI and it comes back clean, you’re making an offer on that car, with maybe a little negotiating around the edges based on any minor things that come up.

I did have to buy this . It connects to the optional MB 30-pin connector and works really well with iPhone to play songs, even the steering wheel controls work for changing music. I also have a 30-pin to lightning adapter so people can charge the phone too.
