The channel prides itself on showing “every kneel from every game,” and sees most of its action during the national anthem portion of NFL games, reporting on players that choose to kneel during the anthem and further tracking any mentions of kneeling throughout the afternoon. KneelZone monitors coverage of the traditional Sunday afternoon 1:00 p.m. “early” games and 4:05/4:25 p.m. “late” games.

On game day, KneelZone channel signs-on at 11:30 a.m. eastern with the 90-minute pregame show NFL Kneel Debate. The talk show primarily focuses on kneeling highlights as well as discussion and analysis of kneeling form and technique.

One of my wife’s aunts is a former nun and super-stereotypically bible thumpy conservative, who talked crap around her small town that she wasn’t sure if she’d attend our mixed Catholic & Jewish wedding that was held at a resort, because it wasn’t in a church and she wasn’t sure if she could condone it.

But she came anyway, and ended up being so thrilled at our interfaith minister including the prayer of St. Francis, because this aunt is a former Franciscan nun. Then she spent most of the reception walking around double fisting red wine, and talking to my very chill, soft-spoken Jewish dentist uncle who happened to be seated near her during the reception.

She has decided to renounce her lifelong Green Bay Packers fandom, because some of the players are kneeling, and that’s disrespecting the flag/the troops/MURRICA/baby Jesus/etc.

Yeah, I had a guy in my office that normally religiously, eh poor choice of words, watches Football every Sunday. But now “I haven’t turned the game on because I just can’t handle it”. Okay, so you mean to tell me that you are so delicate and sensitive that someone kneeling will stop you from your favorite past time of eating wings, drinking beer and watching Football? Blows my mind. It’s not like their wiping their ass with a flag while flipping off whoever is singing the anthem. THEY ARE KNEELING, THATS ALL, YOU DIPSHITS!

And disrespecting the troops? Since when did we decide that the national anthem is solely for the purpose of respecting troops? When did we decide that anything but standing is offensive during said anthem? I’m so confused.

My uncle was in the Marines in ‘Nam, and was something of a badass, in combat saw things that would destroy people. He has no problem with the kneeling, and isn’t disrespected. That’s good enough for me.

Haha agreed, the armed forces + standing or kneeling during the national anthem are unrelated subjects.

Sadly, this era brings out the worst nationalistic instincts of people, masquerading under false claims of patriotism.

You hit the nail on the head there. Standing for your national anthem is nice. But patriotic? What really is patriotism?

Pretty much being not a piece of shit. Even better if you are particularly selfless. But if you can make it through life without cheating, stealing or hurting people all the damn time, you are doing a pretty good job in my book. Oh and being big enough to admit that every country is the greatest country. We are in no measurable way better at being humans than any other humans any other place on earth. Nationalism is a very negative term to me.

Most flag-waving drones couldn’t give you a definition if their silly lives depended on it. Just like people who cry about “socialism” (these are often the same people). It makes one fear for the future. You want to be a “good American” (or insert other nationality at your discretion)? As you say, be a good person.

Nationalism has proven to be a dangerous thing, and many people today have not learned from history.
