Kinja'd!!!

Finally broke down and bought parts for my 92FS.

Kinja'd!!!

Got Wilson Combat grips, springs, and trigger. I have been wanting these parts for a while now and I finally decided to just do it. Should be a lot nicer to shoot now. I love my 92, it is a great gun. THere are others I would like a little more like the Walther P99 and a Beretta M9A3, but the P99 is not on the roster and I would have to buy one second hand and the M9A3 will never sell in CA because it isn’t on the roster and it comes with a threaded barrel and that is not legal in CA because they think of it as a suppressor part and those aren’t legal here. Woo Hoo. Oh also I want a Ruger Vaquero (old one) in 45 long colt with the stainless 7.5" barrel.

I like the look of that P99. Reminds me a little of the Springfield XD9 I used to have.

Actually the parts I ordered were on par with lesser quality parts. Their Beretta stuff is reasonable. Now their 1911 parts are usually a bit over priced

I love the tan color on the 92. I didn’t know that existed until my retired Marine buddy showed me his. What a great gun, that’s the go-to automatic I recommend for everyone. So easy to shoot.

Yeah, I was just goofing around due to the MSRP of their 1911s.

Their 1911s are expensive, the parts for 1911s aren’t nearly as bad. I kicked around doing a full spring refresh in mine and the parts were pretty comparable to OEM cost. Their 1911s are crazy expensive since they all fit so perfectly.

That revolver is a beaut. So, why do you need a buffer image? Is there some kind of prohibition on leading with gun pics?

No, just common Oppo courtesy.

Buffer image for no car related things is what you are supposed to do and maybe some people on here don’t like guns etc.

So yeah that is why.

Great looking gun! I’ve been keeping an eye out for a used Sig P229 in good condition. At the same time I’ve been spending through my gun budget on rifle parts :/ I’m at the point where I like building/cleaning/hopping up the rifle more than I like shooting it!

I got mine right before they came out with the M. Great gun, never had a single issue with it. Mine was the Tactical version (5.25" barrel). Had it for home defense and decided to trade it in for a Mossberg 500.

Yeah what rifle? I keep thinking about messing with my rifles, but the .30-06 is pretty much perfect for what it is, the Nagant 91-30 isn’t worth it in my book, the 2 Type 99s are worth too much to mess with, and the shotgun doesn’t need to be played with. That is why I want a Ruger High Precision to play with.

I’ve got a 5.56 S&W M&P 15 Sport. I’ve done the grip, stock, hand guard, sites, laser site, and I’m looking into an optic but having a hard time choosing.

I’ve got a Glock 19 that I have yet to do anything to yet because I’m not that great at shooting it stock. My wife on the other hand is a dead eye with it.

You’re right about not messing with the shotgun if you’ve got one you like. I’ve got a Remington 1100, and its my oldest and favorite gun. My brother was going on about how I should get this and that for it...meanwhile I’m just dusting every clay he throws...

I really love my XDM. The wife can shoot it no problem and I’m taking my CC class next weekend. My next move is going to be a Judge and an AR though. Just kind of adding to the collection. I still want a bolt action and a pump shotgun but my handgun and my over under(wedding gift) are a good start.

Yeah I could build my AR, but I just haven’t wanted to spend the money.

Yeah? That is funny. My grandfather’s 1911 he is a dead eye, but I can’t hit the barn side of a broad with it.

Yeah I have an older Remington 870 12g that has never let me down.

I’ve just joined a private club as I’ve seen too much dumb shit at public ranges in my area. Also it’s pretty pointless to shoot the AR at 25yds for $.30+ per round. I’ve still got to go to a few meetings and get cleared for safety on each range, but I suspect I’ll be shooting more and building less in the coming months.

Couldn’t recommend the Mossberg more as a reliable pump. I got the Thunder Ranch edition (18" barrel with breacher muzzle, Picatinny rails on the sides and bottom of the forend) and I love it. Super simple, accurate, and tough as nails.

Ruger Super Alaskan in .454 Casull. Hot custom loads. A real man’s handgun.

Okay, all joking aside, that’s me holding my cousin’s gun and it really is fun to shoot and he had some HOT 300-grain rounds and it was a blast. My favorite handgun to shoot, bar none, though I wish it had a slightly longer barrel.

Yeah? Strange the outdoor range here is really good and the people are really safe and if they are the range people there get on them pretty quick and hard.

I would never just shoot 25 yds with anything more than a pistol anyway.

I really wanted to love the P229, my father picked up an E2 version a while back. Unfortunately, I fall into the joyous group whose thumb somehow manages to rest on the slide stop so it won’t lock back on an empty mag.

The outdoor public range near me is nice, and people are safe and respectful but it’s far (over an hour) away. The private club I’ve joined is close enough to where I can shoot on my lunch break. That is actually how I found out about it, a co-worker took me as a guest over lunch one day. They’ve got several really nice indoor ranges, a trap range and two outdoor rifle ranges.

It is something about those rounds that just command your attention. The guns that fire them are just like any crazy supercar. Completely impractical, cost prohibitive and usually beautifully designed. You just look at them in awe. They are the end product of what happens when someone creates something with complete disregard of whether they should have or not.

Is it just me or are these berettas far less common for civvies than glocks and sigs etc? They seemed like proven pistols to me.

Obviously handguns have their purpose but in terms of range toys I’m hoping to to own either a little 556 sbr or even a 762 sbr wouldbe awesome. Ever since I shot a fal I’ve wanted to shoot another.

Yeah I talked to a guy that does competitive shooting and there is a common trend where newbies might buy a 92 then they get more into shooting and buy other guns, then get really into competitive shooting and go back to the 92.

At least that was what he said. The 92 and the CZ75 are really nice firearms.

If I stay working there after my co-op idk what the Brexit will mean but I’m hoping to stay there which would render all the time and money for a license and a gun or two useless.
