An acquaintance down the road who likes to keep her car clean, hurt her back and asked if I could clean it and give it some protection for over the winter.

Car is a 2004 VW Golf Mk5 1.8TDi.

Washed the car down, sealed with CarPro HydroFoam and then loosely dried and then dried with Gyeon Cure. Cleaned the interior with Gtechniq I2ab, then added another layer of Cure.

Exterior,

Gtechniq Gwash - car shampoo,

CarPro HydroFoam - snow foam applied sealant,

Gyeon Cure - drying aid and sealant,

Gtechniq G6 Perfect Glass - glass cleaner,

Gtechniq T1 Tyres & Trim - long lasting tyre and trim dressing,

Interior,

Gtechniq I2ab Tri-clean - multi surface cleaner and anti bacterial,

Gtechniq G6 Perfect Glass - glass cleaner,

Topped up the screen wash.

Job done.

Manual, diesel, Golf with blacked out wheels? Dude you need to marry her. Clearly a future Oppo. On further reflection I remembered that manual and diesel are prob pretty common over in Europe.

Quick question. My wife ran over some sort of wet paint in the road which splattered onto the black, unpainted portion of the lower bumper. Any ideas of how to clean it off without wrecking the plastic? Its completely dry.

Well we do share something else in common, both me and her like women so not sure how that’d work out. Lol.

Tar and glue remover and plenty of time.

It takes a bit of rubbing to remove but it’ll come.

That’s what she said.

Lol.

I’ve had two cars where road paint has been churned up. Inside the wheel arches is the worst and most annoying to remove.
