I love getting outside for a walk. Usually to the tune of 20-30 miles in a given week. This week, however, Northern California is on fire and going outside means giving up on breathing. It’s been snowing ash off and on in the East Bay today. That’s a big nope on going for a walk outside. It’s a nope on top-down miata fun. It’s a nope on a lot of things.

In case you’re unaware, the “great” state of California is fricken’ burnin’. Got to feel for all the people who have lost family members, homes, and yes, their car collections. The news interviewed a guy the other day who lost a bunch of cool old classics.

It’s pretty smoky and ash-ey down in the South Bay as well, but must be worse up where you are. Stay safe!

I used to work up in Santa Rosa until late 2016. It’s chilling to think that a number of the buildings and neighborhoods I’d pass on a daily basis are now piles of ash.
