At this price it better be reliable. American standard toilets are like 3 times the price of non brand name toilets.
i had to buy this toilet cause it was the only 12 inch rough that was less than 11 inches from the wall. It was the 3rd 12 inch I bought, next step was going to a 10 inch rough toilet, but they don’t make dual flush 10 inchers.

As much as I try to buy American, I shitpost from a Toto. Dem Japanese make a mighty fine toilet. No idea where it was actually made though.
True story: the last birthday present my mom bought me before she passed, was a new Toto for the bathroom I was remodeling at the time. “A throne for my prince!” She said :)

Jesus. I’ve had my American Standards for eight years now. Replaced the origonal one because it cracked...after 50+ years of use.

The rough in is the measurements from the wall to the centre of the toilet’s flange(the hole in the floor that the toilet sits on)
The rough or rough in is the term used in construction so should be safe to Google
