I have that exact same hitch. My mpg takes a significant hit with it on, and It swings around more than I’d like but has been solid so far.
It even survived falling off the back of my car on the freeway.

Dang, what speed was that at? My best tank in the Miata so far was 35mpg, but that was at straight 80mph for the entire tank.
