Kinja'd!!!

By the way, there is a very high likelihood that the term Sport Utility Sedan (SUS) is going to be used on liftbacks. I know Subaru just brought it back for the Legacy but all signs are pointing to liftbacks like the Regal, Stinger, upcoming Arteon, and upcoming Elantra Fastback being marketed as an SUS segment.

I dont think BMW or Audi (or Porsche) will bother since I think the 4-Series Gran Coupe will end up being 70% of 4-Series sales and the Sportback will hit 50% of A5 sales within the next 6 months. Mark my words because Im not using any data at all for those speculations.

The next logical development would be the Sport Utility Coupe, but I doubt the marketing braintrust will go along with the SUC designation.

Hot take: The Kia is ugly in person and in pictures and the interior looks and feels cheap.

They could use Cross Utility Coupes (CUC or XUC) instead of SAC or whatever is used now for the slopeback crossovers. Though Ferrari could release a Sport Utility Coupe w/Kinetic Energy Recovery System and exploit the market for SUCKERS.

I really like this body style, but exactly none can be had with three pedals, correct?

Change that “Sport” to “Flexible” and you’ve really got something..

Didn’t BMW already “invent” Sport Activity Coupe?

Even the 4GC?! I thought for sure that the volume was high enough to toss it in by now.

If they’ve added the option, I haven’t heard it.

Man such a let down on the interior looked great up until then. Even though I think the front of the audi is ugly but dat tail and the interior makes the car. BMW tail with just duals just looks out of place

I don’t care what term they use, they can call them whatever they have to to trick SUV-crazy Americans into buying them. If all it takes is a simple three letter initialism starting with “SU” to get people to start buying ordinary hatchbacks and station wagons again, I’m all for it.
