I wonder if that’s going to be it for the Australian auto industry forever, or if some enterprising Chinese or Indian automaker will set up a CKD assembly shop or something in the not too distant future?
I mean, they’re building cars in Cuba now, and you can’t tell me that’s a bigger or more lucrative market than Australia.

Actually, I don’t know if its materialized yet, but Geely and Tecnoimport were supposed to set up a joint venture to assembly the Geely CK there, primarily for police cars.
