I want to go back to the track. I want to live at the track. I want to go fast all the goddamn time. I want the 228i to pass me this lap so I can catch him on the next one. I want to come into a corner a little to hot and scare myself. I want to hear those Pirellis fuckin’ sing. I want to learn and get faster. I want to ride in that old guy’s Lotus. I want to feel alive. I want to go back to the track.

I have a whole different set of post-HPDE blues. I was the guy in the red ZHP that blew his engine at the entry to the Carousel.

I’d love to go S54, but the costs for doing that are staggering. You need the S54 plus an M3 transmission, driveshaft, rear diff & rear subframe. It’s getting a used M54 out of an ‘06 ZHP with 79k miles on it.
If I really wanted to go that route(not that I have the money to do so), I’d stick with the M54 but bolt on an ESS supercharger and blow M3's out of the water.
