I bought Steve Lehto’s Tucker book.
Now I was looking at the other things he’s written and WTF is going on with this title?
It’s a mass-market paperback for fuck sake.

I’ve heard it’s a glitch in the automated pricing algorithms. When stock of a specific item gets low, they start “bidding” against each other, if you will.

It’s more about the continuation of how Lehto’s books are in demand and our own library didn’t have a copy. It took about a week to get in.

More libraries are having a hard time keeping copies of things at several branches. Our library has been offering an ever increasing catalog of e-books that you can check out with an app for a specific time period. When you’re done, you can “turn it in”, and that copy becomes available for the next person in line.

Sorry about the late reply but I just saw this now. The book went out of print and when that happens, these idiots with copies for sale jack their prices. When THAT happens, algorithms kick in and make them all skyrocket (function = “Make the price +$1 of the competitor’s”). I’ve seen it happen a few times with my books and those of others. NO ONE buys them for that and the prices will come back down again. And, of course, the book is always available as a kindle.
Meanwhile, if ANYONE ever wants a book of mine, shoot me an email (lehto@kennon.com) and I’ll hook you up for less than Amazon (and I’ll sign it for you). I am out of stock on the book in the illustration above unfortunately.
