Spotted at a car show. The only original piece left (I think?) is the steering wheel, which suggests that it used to be some kind Pontiac. The rest is “hand crafted” sheet metal and plywood... interior shot after the jump.

My wild uneducated guess is a G-Body of some sort, like an old Regal. The shifter also looks to be original, though may not be.
Fun fact though, Massachusetts kit car registrations require the VIN of a legal donor car. So there is a VIN tied to that...thing, which is likely the VIN of the engine and transmission donor if the car is plated like it appears to be in the picture.
And before you ask, no, I don’t know what the safety inspection standards are for kit cars...even if I did, looking at these pictures I am merely baffled.

To be clear, if it’s a Pontiac donor then my guess is a 7th gen Bonneville. A Grand Prix from that time would likely be too nice/valuable to mutilate.

I think it would look decent with some coats of paint (preferably a shade that masks the metalwork), uniformity in the interior, and a roofline that makes sense.
