Disappointing tundra

So that nice price tundra I wanted to buy went to the local dealership for an inspection. Oh boy. Down in flames. Both Exhaust manifolds leaking, control arm, transmission pan seeping. No evidence of timing belt changed. No oil on dip stick. 4 thousand dollars just to get it to pass Virginia safety and emissions (on a three grand Craigslist truck). Truck was never switched to VA from North Carolina so none of this was done. Even if an independent shop could get the inspection requirements handled, that doesn’t address the timing belt, or why it’s low on oil. He did the changes, so who knows. One time mistake? Consistent? Burning oil? Who knows.

Really wanted that truck to work out.

I mean, you probably didn’t want that truck to work out. It sounds like a nightmare.
