Drive ins still exist? That makes me happy. Last one I went to was called “Closed For Season”. Thin plot, very little action. I fell asleep half way through.

nope, they do not. this is a temporary one in a parking lot with an inflatable screen, and there were ~9 cars

Except they do. We have one in town, it has two screens and the last time I went it was packed with cars.

If you don’t have a Volvo, why would you go to a drive-in theater? Most car seats are terrible.

They do still exist, but are very rare.
My town has one with 4 screens, and terrible food. Everybody just BBQs or brings fast food in.

They all have bad food. The catch is that they depend on concessions to keep profitable. So, they better step up their food game.

We are having another one of our neighborhood movies nights this Friday. The neighbor built a big frame with a sheet over it, and we stream to a projector on the lawn. Last one was E.T.

because everyone faces backwards and makes an uncomfortable bed in the back of the car and its really inconvenient and the food is bad and the sounds is terrible....
wait...
oh I remember. I went because a girl (wife) said it would be fun. the same reason anyone had done drive in for decades.

it was dusk, much brightening was needed for the image.
but yeah, drive ins are dead for a reason, I cant image there was a break even amount of cars here to pay for the running fo the projector and such
