The front (particularly the hood/headlights) of a first-gen Compass looks a good deal like an AMC Pacer. The D-pillar looks like the C-pillar of a Gremlin.

I’m not sure modern FCA Jeep is *that much* of a patch reliability-wise in general, and Chrysler has something of a legend in that area for undersized FWD drivetrains made of potato, so “yes”?

You could schedule transmission rebuilds based on mileage in the old S Body vans. Had that happen on two NS vans my grandmother owned at one time.
Although it was allegedly possible to get an original S Body with the 2.5 Turbo version of the K engine with a manual transmission... Although I’m more partial to the Toyota Previa S/C...
