At least on old Ferraris, the rear lights are shockingly easy to access. Thumb screws, no tools needed!
I know this because I replaced my reverse lights with soft white LEDs (less heat and preserving the colour of filament bulbs). Normal bulbs crack and warp the taillamp lens because Ferrari placed them too close to the lens.
