Assumed I still live at home with my parents because I’m choosing to be in the car business instead of doing something directly tied to my degree. They think we’re all stupid, feckless, incompetent, lazy, losers. I hate their constant disrespect. They failed as parents in most cases and now blame us for that.
Strangely, it has grown worse over the years. When I was just starting out (I’m a very early Millennial that did very well for himself early on), they were far more accepting and treated us far better than they do now...

Every Hendrick dealership plays fast and loose with their accounting as far as paying sales staff. Your salary, commission, spiffs, and bonuses are all heavily intertwined so that you always owe back anything you make over your base bi-weekly $650. Earn a bonus? An equal amount is deducted from your salary for the month. Work more than 40 hours a week? They pay you such that you ge equivalent minimum wage hourly, but anything over 40 gets taken out of your commission check at the end- usually about $300 a month. Except this month, they just took everything from about 6 people.
I sell about 6-8 cars a month because we have no traffic, and I’m lucky if $1,700 winds up in my bank account.
