Another B17 at the local airport. I saw it land so I stopped by the airport to show my boys through the fence. While we were standing there, one of the sponsors walked over and invited my kids to tour it! Too cool, and awesome people.

Fantastic! This is my favorite WWII plane. And what better way to connect kids with history?

I kind of want to polish up the tank of my Honda and paint WWII style pinups on it. It has AFB parking passes on the forks which would add to the paint scheme. Might be a bit too ironic, though.

I had the honor of being a passenger on one about 10 years ago.

That’s awesome. I paid to climb through a B-17 a few years ago and was surprised at how cramped it is on the inside.

There’s another B-17 in Atlanta this weekend.

Would be even more ironic had it been a Mitsubishi. Zero fucks given though.

Flying on one was checked off my bucket list in May. I rarely get emotional, but flying and imaging what my dad went through on his 30+ missions in the top turret. Wow.
