manufacturer plate. it really depends who is responsible for the car in this situation. where I work, test cars go out to suppliers and media outlets on bailment; a short-term loan contract which specifies the borrower is responsible for insuring the vehicle while in their possession. Though in this case I doubt Subaru of America wants to keep a car that suffered that much damage in its press fleet, so they’d probably settle with the bailee’s insurance, take the vehicle back, and scrap it.

Had this happen to me. Teenage girl in a civic was texting and driving (could see through my mirrors) and said hello to my rear bumper. Of course she said “I didn’t see you. Right, you didn’t see the silver towering suv. Stopped at a red light. K. The irony is some other dumb ass hit me not a week after I got it replaced cause his brakes were shot (no damage that time).
