I did and it was great. I hate watching Bradley play though. I have never seen a player who kicks the ball and then retreats as much as he does. He never goes to goal and never presses the attack. His style of play is infuriating to me.

We usually get out of our group, but then lose to whomever in the first several rounds after that. Still though, it pretty much makes us pretty close to the top. Considering the cluster fuck that is organized American soccer, I’d say that’s not too bad.
Edit: I wonder if the hullabaloo surrounding head trauma in American football leads to a bump in the soccer crop.

There’s a good tactical reason for that. He was the only midfielder instructed to defend at all in the first half, which is why he never pushed forward...if he hadn’t stayed and/or tracked back it would have been 3-3 at halftime. And thank god because he’s twice as frustrating when he goes forward and tries to do too much.

Statistically speaking, it already has. But some of those kids go right back out of soccer again in high school when their parents realize that the incidence of concussion isn’t much lower... but ironically, it’s not really the concussions that are the big problem, it’s all the subconcussive shots to the head football players in certain positions take.
