What is it with Australia and cutting automotive production lately? It seems like there have been a few plants that have shut down recently.

the government of Tony Abbott decided to cease subsidising production, so GM and Ford said “bye”. end result with all the suppliers closing, Toyota pulled out as well. doesn’t help with Mitsubishi also pulling out back in 2008.
