After daender wrote this on the car (yes, they were letting us do that) it somehow managed to win for the ST class despite being far behind for the first 3/4 of the race or so. In fact, it was all set to lose its position at 5 minutes to go when a caution was wrapping up, but then a couple Miatas decided to ram a BMW and force the caution to continue for the rest of the race. I credit the Oppo thingy for this.

Also, here’s Jack Roush jr’s signature on a Shelby, because we’re cruel that way.

So what you’re saying is that the Oppo bump is better than VTEC kicking in, racing stripes, flame decals, red painted body, speed holes and NOS put together?

Everybody jokes but I’ll bet there is something to it. It’s kind of an over arching feeling of capability - focuses the senses and brings clarity.

Counter point: Oppo bump is not capable of getting me past good in my class in autocross. But I’m still fairly new, maybe it is only effective after a certain amount of experience.
