There has to be something else wrong here, right?

92 BMW318I convertible with ~165k miles. Only issues stated are a broken odometer and leaking fuel lines (and most likely other rust because of that). The car is either plastidipped gray or repainted, but they are only asking $600 bucks for it...

Yellow lights, delrin shift knob, wood wheel. I’m thinking there’s a mechanical issue that vaping couldn’t fix.

I bet the gas leak is tank rot and no mechanic wants to deal with it.

For 600 bucks I think it is worth it. Hell, some non running E30s go for more.

Stretch the rules a bit and make it a lemons car

I am guessing there is more rust underneath. Bring a pair of ramps to look underneath the car.

Also when you are in Beaver Falls stop at BFC&T (Beaver Falls Coffee & Tea).

Don’t even need to stretch the rules. If you bring the receipts everything you sell off the car counts towards reducing your total spend.

That’s when you buy a fuel cell and strap it in the trunk.

I emailed them to see if there’s anything else wrong with it. If i decide to take a closer look i’ll stop by!

I helped keep my friend’s 328is on the road for many years. These are lovely cars when they work, but a real pain to fix and definitely not reliable. I’d say not worth it unless its a 325 at the very least

Yeah, it’d be a second car/something for me to tinker with so the not reliable isnt the end of the world. If the only issues turn out to be exactly what he says, i may give it a shot, but its unlikely.

It’s a BMW. The CAR is the problem.

Buy that thing as long as it is fairly rust free. It will only go up in value!

That’s when I part out whats left.

It could be a good candidate for a swap! 2.8 is kinda out of the question because it shares a trans with the m3 but a 325 drivetrain should be somewhat reasonable.

It is my favorite coffee! Unfortunately I live on the opposite side of the city, so I am rarely able to get any.

You’re just putting more bad ideas in my head, haha. I’m going to wait for an email response until Monday, and if i dont hear back I’ll give him a call and go from there. I figured if i can talk him down to 500, the worst i can do is part it out/resell it.
