My lovely 7 year old daughter has a fever. My wife and kids were going to go out of town for my mother in laws birthday tomorrow and I was going to go to Petit Le Mans Saturday. I even have an IMSA Hot pit pass from a friend. Now, my daughter is staying with me. If she feels better I might take her up to Petit for a bit. If not, then I watch it on TV. Life happens and family first, but the timing is a bummer.

That’s disappointing. On the other hand, you get to spend the weekend with your daughter. Those days will seem so rare and precious as time goes on.

My dad worked weekends so if you were staying home from school sick and it happened to be his day off you were getting dragged somewhere.
