But holy crap, $790 extra over a regular T470 of the same spec for a keyboard and a GeForce.
Kinda wished they went all retro and remove the trackpad as well.

I don’t think anyone actually wanted it to be that, either - there seemed to be two main camps of people who wanted the Retro.
The first camp wanted basically a ThinkPad P51 with the old seven-row keyboard layout, and a 4:3 screen (16:10 at worst).
The second camp wanted basically a ThinkPad X220, with a 3:2 or 16:10 ~13" screen and a modern CPU.
Myself, I was closer to the X220 camp, although what I wanted was basically a X200 with a 13.3" 16:10 screen (if you go for tight bezels, it fits), a bit thinner, and a modern CPU - the logic being that the X20x machines were the last ThinkPads that stuck to the A4 paper dimensions that the original ThinkPad laptops used, and I prefer that era of keyboard layout over the X220's.

And the hinges.
I was in the second camp as well, but as soon as I heard it was 16:9 14", I knew this was it so I went on eBay and bought an open-box Yoga 260 instead.
If anything the Yoga flat hinge made it closer to a classic ThinkPad.

I mean, realistically, my ideal laptop is a Panasonic Let’s Note RZ6, but with the addition of pen input (most of the point of a 2-in-1 for me) and a pointing stick - I’d deal with the Japanese keyboard to get that, if it had those two features.
Yoga-hinged 10.1" 1920x1200 laptop in 745 g (or about 1.65 lbs or so)? Yes, please.
