The lack of headphone jack was a deal breaker, I think I’m going to go with the Nokia 8. Bluetooth headphones suck and I don’t need yet another fucking device that needs charging.

I actually can count on one hand the number of times I used my old Samsung earbuds with my Moto X (Because the Moto didn’t come with any 3 years ago when I got it).
Google is also packing in a USB-C to headphone adapter. Not the most elegant solution, but at least they aren’t charging you for the adapter like....ahem....other companies.

Ah. A coworker order that phone, has the same date. I ordered the panda 2XL, 128GB, guess they are shipping later since I had my order in an hour before him.
So happy the fabric cases are back. That’s what I missed the most about my 6P...Ok, maybe not the most, but still, they’re awesome.

I use my headphones every day and the first Android came with no headphone jack. It sucked, because having and adapter is yet another thing to worry about. I’ve been on the Google phone bandwagon since the Nexus 1 but I’m out now. Been following Nokia for a little while now and they seem to be getting it right so far.
I write this on my Pixel XL and I’m thoroughly disappointed in Google.

My Nokia 6 in Copper should be here today! It is my first new phone since 2012. I buy phones like I buy cars...once it gets to the point it can’t keep up with what I want it to do; it is time to get something new.
I was interested in the Nokia 8, but really don’t need a phone that is so damn expensive

If it has digital audio out from the USB C port which I could connect a high quality DAC to (unlike the original Pixel which won’t let you do that) I could live without a headphone port.

Screw Samsung and every other non-stock Android manufacturer for not providing prompt software updates, or flat out not providing updates because they would rather sell you a new phone.
At least Google’s devices tend to be able to unofficially run newer software without too many shenanigans.

I haven’t seen a DAC that is small enough to be convenient to carry on a daily basis. You’re pretty much doubling the size of your phone which is less than ideal.

That’s still too big, I wouldn’t be able to fit that in my pocket. Still doesn’t change the fact that you have to carry one more dongle/cable/whatever and it’s a solution to a problem nobody asked for.
