I like this for a couple of reasons, one it’s funny based on an iconic livery and two from a distance it could be confused with an actual police vehicle even if other road users are confused why an NYPD vehicle is on the road in their area it may sufficiently deter criminality to change their mind or at least do a double take.
We used to laugh because the livery of our ambulance cars would slow speeders on the motorway till they were close enough to see we weren’t police.
They aren’t sufficiently replicating a police officer or vehicle to be classed as impersonating or ‘passing off’.

There’s a girl in town with a P71. Looks like maybe a former detective car. Has the push bar and cop wheels. Most of the time I see her driving it while wearing ray bans. I can’t decide if it’s awesome or awful
