My fears have been realized. I was hoping Forza 7 would start you off with something somewhat cheap/slow and have you work your way up. Instead my very first car is a Mclaren F1... it was free.

Unfortunately modern video games are to rewarding because people want everything handed to them. I play Destiny 2 and the amount of legendary and exotic weapons and armor I have is rediculously high for how little I’ve played. Again I don’t mind because they are awesome but I expected to work up gradually.

Weird. I definitely started with the seeker cup in a hot hatch (mk7 golf r, because vw-nerd). I definitely got a boat load of free cars.
To be fair, i think they’ve definitely done work to not make it easy to buy all the outrageous cars within minutes of owning the game, so there is still some grind aspect to it.

How did that happen?!? My first car was a Cooper JCW GP (from the beginner’s level hot hatch series). I did get the F&F cars for free, but no McLaren F1.

no one is forcing you to use it.
I see it as they give you it to have fun, fool around...
nothing is stopping you to use a normal car and work your way up.

Except career mode starts with easy cars like hot hatches. Just because you win something fancy doesn’t mean you have to drive it right away.

Yeah. I think i drove a Miata for 40% of GT2. Then I graduated to a Mustang Cobra R for a good chunk of the rest. At that point I started collecting a bunch of frivolous exotics and race cars. Handing out an F1 early on seems weak.

I hate you. I’ve finished the story, gotten up to like 225, and I’ve gotten....3 exotics and maybe 6 legendary. I’m clearly doing it wrong.

I tried the F7 demo, and I’m not sure about that camera motion. Do you get used to it? Cause watching the camera wobble like a helmet cam when you’re looking at the outside of the car is kind of annoying.

Yeah I would usually start with hot hatches or the classic muscle cars, but first car being free, I couldn’t justify not going with the Supercars of the Past or whatever it’s called.

Nope, didn’t win it. First car. Career mode gives a few classes to choose from and the first car is free. Hot hatches, classic muscle, spec RZR, and supercars of the past were all options. With the first car free it was impossible for me to choose a Golf R over the F1.

Traction control and stability management are available for all cars, unfortunately. Would be cool for it to be only on cars with those options.

One of the first series to choose from is “supercars of the past” or something like that. I couldn’t justify NOT getting a free F1 worth a $1million over the hot hatches or classic muscle.

This is something I wish they had...an option to equip the car as it was sold base from the factory (or when it was raced). And there should be spec races only for cars that have the base build.

It’s good to know that it can be turned off, I might have to give the demo another chance. (I didn’t enjoy driving that Porsche in the demo either).

Haha, nicely put. I don’t really farm much, I enjoy playing the strikes and other aspects. Just happen to get some good loot because of it. But just trying 1 strike or some event to get the 1 thing, that I can’t do.

Ok, maybe I have played a bit. I’m 262 and and have 9 exotics and two partially completed exotic quests. Also have an exotic sparrow, ship, and emote.

I take back my comment. Needs more investigation. The “assists” menu has all three options and I only have ABS on. My McLaren F1 shows all three lights next to the HUD tach (only the ABS ever lights up as it should per assists) while my 65 Mustang has the ABS light ONLY, no TC or STM. I need to see if I add all assists does it apply them to my 65 mustang.
