I have mixed feeling about this. I could do without David Hobbs, but the rest of the NBC broadcast crew is first rate. I’d vote for them cutting the cord with Hobbo and bringing the rest of the crew over with Will Buxton promoted. The biggest problem I see is that ABC’s coverage of about half the Indycar races the past few years has sucked compared to NBCSN. They seemed to be showing the wrong camera half the time, and Alan Bestwick always leaves me hoping that he’ll choke on his microphone. On the other hand, F1 on ESPN/ABC is a big step closer to a cheaper cable package.

Yeah, nah, yeah m8. I am still going to continue buying VPN and SkyF1 access. I don’t watch American TV because I can’t stand fuckall of the ads and commercial breaks.
But if they were to get Will Buxton away from NBC Sports F1 I might give it a cursory glance.
