I’m pretty sure the doohickey in the bottom picture is supposed to be in the end of the thingamabob in the top picture to hold the whatchamacalit on the right side of the second picture in place in the left.

The previous owner flogged it, then we tried to repair everything he broke. Then when we attempted to start it and the engine was like “nope. Screw this”
