People harp on the 124 Spider as unreliable, but if you put some modern wiring and fix any rust, they are pretty easy cars to work on and shouldn’t give you much trouble! :)

Convertible is a spectrum. Would you take something like a Porsche Targa? Miata RF? T-top? Surely a man who appreciates an S2K couldn’t knock back a decent SW20 turbs

orginal Fiat 124. I’m just not much into convertibles. I’d take the S2K becuase of it’s performance capabilities and it was only offered in convertible (basically, I think there were a few hardtops.)
For the Porsche, I’d prefer a convertible same with the MR2. The Miata’s just not cool enough for me to want it. Granted I’d take one, but the first thing I would buy would be a hardtop.
The only reason I’d take a 124 convertible is because of how cool they are.
