The mercifully cool weather in the Borderland this week prompted me to get working on the racecar again. After procrastinating all summer, I finally got around to wet sanding this afternoon. From a cosmetic standpoint it wasn’t really needed on a racecar, but my OCDish impulses were bothered by the dust and dog hair that dried in the paint from spraying in it my garage.
I didn’t quite remove all of the orange peel, but pretty darn close. After an afternoon of 1500 grit, I’ll hit it again with 2000 grit and compound it out tomorrow. Wet sanding is no fun.
