Monterrey, Nuevo Leon Mexico. It’s a city surrounded by mountains, just a short drive around some suburbs will get you these views.

Is that an M badge I see?

It is. It is also under a dealership sticker, which I already took off. The thing is, I think thats how it came from new since its a “Special Final M Edition” for the Mexican market. Badge seems high quality and other used E90s with the same specs also have the badge so I don’t really know what to do about it.

I don’t think any E90s but the M3 came with an M badge on the back. It also looks a lot bigger than the M badge on my M3. For all I know it could be factory, I know that they weren’t on US-spec cars. That doesn’t mean it also applies to Mexican market cars.

As far as I know, this is the only special badge we got on the back of the E90:

Thats what I thought at first! Then I looked at it closely and it seems like a proper non-bay badge. Also, all the paperwork says 325i M Edition.

I’ve found a couple M-Sport E90s for sale in Mexico seem to lack the badge:

Who knows, maybe yours is a different edition. If they did come like that from the factory, that would be an interesting piece of E90 trivia to own. Regardless of whether or not it’s factory, it’s your car if you like it leave it on, if not take it off.

What the hell, this is even more confusing.

Yeah, I have no idea. Regardless, it doesn’t change anything about the car.

Speaking of confusing, I found this super cheap M3 while I was looking for M-Sports and sent it to a friend from my old job. I’m trying to convince him to get an M3.

I wonder too why its so cheap.

Honestly, I would be weary to head out to see it. I’ve heard so many stories of a super cheap “X”, they go to check it out and the owner pulls out a gun to their face.

Now that you mention that, wouldn’t surprise me.

Hey, that makes us engine buddies! How much is yours drinking? My average is around 12L/100kms, but that’s with only in-town driving and highspeed runs on the autobahn. I guess in a slightly less heavy car it must be a bit better?

Just a tiny bit better, but since my commute is pretty short I use about 23 liters a week or so.
