So, for a few weeks now, I’ve been trying to download the latest Xbox One system update. I don’t have the best internet, so I always like to leave it on to download while I’m sleeping or away at work/school. I’ve tried downloading it 4 times now, two times I had to stop because of outside reasons, but the last two times has been due to a peculiar reason.
I caught it doing this on the third time, and just now when I got home after the fourth time. Basically, what happens is that when the update finally gets done downloading, it freezes. Then the connection issue message pops up. I hit “try again” and it brings me back to the, “Update Time!” screen, and the entire update starts all over again.
I am frankly, getting very pissed off at this situation. If it was a first time thing, then I would just try again next time I get a chance, but this is four times now, two times doing this particular issue. I’m now trying to update it without logging into my profile on the console and seeing if that might do it.
All I want to do is play Forza 7.

Did you reach out customer support? They should be able to swap out boxes for you in the worst case scenario.

I hope whatever it is works itself out for ya. As soon as I leave work I am going to pick up my copy. I’m interested to see if my local GS had enough cars for them to still have any left by the time I get by there.

Try these 2 options if you can:
1. Connect it to your modem/ whatever box via a wire.
2. Set it up to automatically download updates and leave it connected to a live outlet for a day/ overnight

wifi or cable. i had issues once trying to updating, but an ethernet cable seemed to fix it.
