I’d like to meet the guy from Toyota who thinks that the only way to keep your ten year old designs current is to add more squares and sharpen the curves.
I’d like to break his hand so he can never design again because he’s not doing a very good job.

Yet the first gen Sequoia is still a great looking vehicle. While I had a 2012 Tundra, I never could warm up to the 2nd gen Sequoia.

My dad had a 05 Tundra SR5, has a 05 Sequoia SR5, and a 14 Tundra Platinum and I think the 14 Tundra is only his favorite because the amenities. The 2005 models were almost perfect.

The interior on my ‘12 Tundra felt old when i got it. My neighbor traded “up” from his ‘13 Rock Warrior to the refreshed ‘14 1794 back in 2014. I think it would’ve been cheaper to just have leather covers added.

I preferred my ‘02 Tundra to the ‘12. I liked them both, but if I had to choose between the two in brand new form, I’d take the ‘02 every time. Heck, I’d take it over my Taco now.

mainstream cars are like clothes from Old Navy or the Gap now ... there’s standard types (shorts, t-shirt, polo, jeans) and they just change little things here and there for the next season. people don’t care what it looks like since they have to buy something to replace the worn out old one, as long as the new one is different enough to get their attention, but not so different as to repulse them.
