What blogs do other Oppo’s occasionally click?
Many, many years ago, Gizmodo was great. I never go there anymore as it isn’t about phone/laptop reviews anymore.
I do like Deadspin, the comments are quality as are the general life articles. I am not a sports person, but still enjoy it.
Other than that.. I find the whole Gizmodo Media company lacking.

I check on Kotaku every once and awhile when they have actual video game news.
If I’m bored I scroll across the top bar and see what’s hot on other blogs though, might click one if it looks interesting or relevant to me.

I skip Deadspin because I’m not a sports fan (as in, watching others play sports) and the sports they feature are of the weird US kind anyway.
The others I hover my mouse over the title to see what’s trending. The Root I hate-read. They usually have some great points and then go entirely over the top.

Loved Kitchenette, and I like to read The Root from time to time. Kotaku and Jalopnik are frequently visited, and I miss when Gizmodo was actually about tech (that isn’t Apple’s). I also read the AV Club when I remember it exists

So, being more candid than I usually am here, but as a black man with a lot of life experiences, to me The Root often just feels like people shining a big internet flashlight and going “hey, look at this shit here!” with the things I/we’ve been encountering in the shadows for years. I like all of them, except for Jalopnik, Gizmodo, and Lifehacker. I’m going to abstain from Earther and AVClub as I haven’t read them for on a long term. Jalopnik annoys me at its quality, which fluctuates frequently, but I have faith in their writers. Gizmodo has been degraded to advertisements and press release regurgitations. I don’t know why Lifehacker exists, post reddit.
