Im not a huge fan of 360 degree experiences, I feel without glasses they fall flat and so I’ve never really explored that as a film maker. Not to mention the resolution and stitching generally suck. With the new Gopro Fusions announced some of that went away and some of that stayed today. there are still a few stitching issues and the resolution still isn’t great its certainly come a long way. Still, Meh. Without glasses its just a novelty.

Gopro is one of those companies that takes a stranglehold of a market and yet it’s GREAT for consumers. They have had almost a monopoly on action cams for years and yet they still release innovative and well priced products on a reasonably quick schedule. I am excited for this product.

Overcapture seems like it’ll be the big thing from this. Place the camera on its tripod in the middle of some action and then track someone/something later? Will be really cool

I would not say they have a monopoly by any means. Sales struggled for a while and their profitability wasn’t great. They seem to be innovating out of that, which is cool.
