I used fuelly for a long time..

Passat TDi 6M- average was 51 - highest was 60.2 by fuely (obviously validated at the pump) - 78k miles (2.5 yrs)

BMW Active-hybrid 7 - 28.5 with a high of 32 (15k miles) 1 yr

C63 AMG - average was 13.5 with a high of DO-NOT-CARE

SS 6 speed- I thought I’ll track it and then I said fuck-off-mpg - and drove the thing 1800 miles in last 1 month. One thing that I cannot seem to pass in that thing is gas stations. I seem to average between nothing and something miserable.

For the 4Runner, it’s a 17.38 MPG, but my last tank was terrible at 15.5.

Come on it’s only a V6!

Best of 17.8 all highway, worst of 6.8 towing the travel trailer, average about 12.2 due to lots of idle time and my stop and go commute.

2015 WRX - I swing between 23 mpg and 25 mpg on fill ups depending on how hard I drive it. I’ve gotten as low as 21 mpg before, but my best has been 30 mpg (road trip).

These are figures calculated at the pump. The in car computer is usually +2 mpg over.

My lowest was on the Audi during track duty. 5MPG

Highest in a car: 38.1MPG in the Mini.

Average of what I drive every day: 14MPG in the Silverado. Which hurts because the Mini averaged 30.1MPG on the daily cycle.

All this stop-and-go city driving (and my constant A/C use since it has been stupid hot here lately) have taken a bite out of my MPG figures. :-(

According to the readout in the Legacy, my average over the last 10k, mostly city miles but a fair amount of highway as well, was 11.8L/100km, or 19.9mpg US. Just on the highway it’s usually 7.8L/100km, 36.2mpg US.

My Mazda 6 has averaged 33.5 over the last 12000 miles with the best mpg being 41.3 and the worst is 25.

My D150 has averaged 15.6 over 6000 miles with a best tank of 16.5 and a worst tank of 14.5.

I wish the Mazda averaged better, but that is mostly city driving so its not too bad. The truck continues to impress me with its mpg.

2008 Audi A3 3.2 quattro. EPA says 21 combined, 18 city , 25 mpg hwy. When I first bought the car those numbers were dead on. Now after Unitronic tune, Pipercross flat panel filter and ECS Tuning intake hose 22-23 combined, 21 city, 26-27 hwy. Some days I now see 23.8 on my commute when I used to see 19-21.

If driven very hard I can drop my fuel economy down into the single digits. Saw 8.6 mpg one day for an hour of driving back roads.

Volvo 850 gets ~30. Hard to know for sure because the odometer is broken, but not bad economy for a 20 year old sporty-ish sedan.

The Bronco did around 13. Once it gets another engine, that number will likely only go up by 1 or 2...

For mostly driving around on only-occasionally-crowded suburb and highway roads:

‘07 MX-5: 29-30 MPG with frightening regularity. The manner in which the car is driven appears to make no difference whatsoever. An autocross event will drop it by a point or two for the current tank of gas.

‘05 Outback XT: 20-21 MPG on average, but a long highway trip with favorable conditions (traffic, hills, wind, etc.) will bump it up to 22-23.

‘94 Exocet: around 22 MPG, but will drop to 20 if it’s mostly highway because short gearing + high drag. Small price to pay for the fun.

Sonic: Constantly 27 MPG. Like all day every day. It should be getting better than that but it doesnt. This is the 1.8 non turbo mind you.

Mustang: Damn near the same. Usually about 26. This is the Ecoboost. Ive observed V6 Mustangs with the 3.7 getting like 24.

Current DD (since June) is a 5-speed ‘02 Jetta TDI (ALH). Worst: 39, best 48. Averages 42-43. After a string of vehicles that rarely bested 25 mpg, I love that I can get 600 miles out of 14 gallons of diesel. 247k miles.

‘15 F150 5.0 4x4 SCab: Worst tank was somewhere around 15, right after I bought it (before the engine was broken in, still on original non-syn oil). Best was about 24 on E0 (non-ethanol) gas. Average these days is 19-20, which really isn’t bad for a NA V8. 48k miles.

‘02 Jetta 1.8T auto: Worst was about 22, best 27. Averages 24-25 (which is a lot worse than when I first bought it). 204k miles.

‘12 Mazdaspeed 3: Worst was probably ~15, best ~25, average ~23? It’s been awhile since I sold that car, tough to remember. 52k miles when sold.

‘94 Crown Vic: Worst ~17, best 28.5, average 21. Plus 1 qt of oil every 400 miles. It took to hypermiling pretty well, if you had the patience. 190k miles when sold.
