Kinja'd!!!

W210 Mercedes E36 AMG.

Less than 400 produced for 2 model years. Of those, apparently only 49 were ever sold here in Australia.

Second rarest AMG after the R63?

Never sold new in NA, must be 1996-97 before the E50 took over. Still too new for Murka, but there are probably a couple in Canuckistan.

We did get the C36, which is still languishing at the bottom of its depreciation curve.

I’d need to google, but I bet an SL73 is as rare, but the R is indeed up there (but I have seen 3 locally, which is cool). I assume the rarity qualifier is for cars made after MB took control. IIRC there’s also a unicorn W203 diesel AMG, I forget the number.

That’s it. Interesting idea, but I can’t warm up to most 203s.

Oooh I totally forgot about the SLs. There was an SL72 too that was even rarer. There’s one listed for sale in California.

And I had absolutely no idea the C30 diesel existed wow.

Same. C55 is about it.

And even those seem like a crapshoot, don’t seem to attract the most meticulous owners.

True. Good ones are real good. But they lost pneumatic seat functions, which 202's had, and I can’t stand by that decision.
