...this Ford Festiva has four young children in the back seat and exactly zero of them are in a child seat or wearing a seatbelt. Sigh.

And on our city’s second busiest road during rush hour. :-/

Your commute was like mine. Behold the beater Passat wagon with side swipe damage, extremely expired temporary tags (not only were the letters faded away, the laminate was almost completely gone), and rear wheels with enough camber to make a mid-90s Civic driving teenager weep. Seriously, that back left wheel is at a 15 degree angle.

Her daughter turned around to check me out after I snapped the shot, so I assume I was noticed. Not sure how, the mom never got off her phone for the 10 miles we were near each other. After we got on the freeway, she rocketed passed me at 80mph. I feel like I’m going to see the little girl again, but on TV instead of peering over the back of her seat. Very sad.

Been there. When I was in middle school, I rode shotgun in a Festiva while my sister, my best friend, and his two sisters all crammed into the back seat.

1/10, never again.

I would’ve said zero, but we all lived to tell the tale.

Not to mention his two sisters!
