I have a feeling you’ll get a half-dozen generic Chinese something-or-others for ever decent watch that shows up. You “win” a Rolex.

Oh it’s another one of those monthly box of trash subscription startups.

When will the Silicon Valley 22 yr old dude with the next  industry disrupting idea he had while talking to a girl over the bar last night just sleep on it and keep this idea to himself.

Don’t fall for these gimmicks. They are always poor quality, ill-fitting, decorated boxes of junk. Buy quality, lasting investment pieces of clothing or accessories, whether that be suits or ties or watches.

If you want affordable, and flexible with many different outfits kind of watch, go for something like a Seiko http://www.ebay.com/itm/Seiko-SNKN72-Mens-Recraft-Series-Rose-Gold-Tone-Leather-Band-Automatic-Watch/362024914729?epid=1854329207&hash=item544a5dcf29%3Ag%3Aj9AAAOSwwvZZVp85

Or if you want a good dress watch, an Orient Bambino...pick the version you like, look for deals.

If you don’t want automatic self-winding craft watches, and would rather have a hassle-free battery quartz movement watch, there’s Timex.

I saw this for the first time on a FB ad and clicked. It’s insane. IDK why anyone would do this since they don’t allow returns.

HELLANOPE!

My boss gets these in the mail once a month. They’re not the highest quality watches. You can find similar watches on sites like overstock or backcountry.

Sounds like a quick and convenient way to spend my kid’s college fund.

These seems like shoddy watches with “japanese” or “swiss” movements that are being passed onto people who don’t really know about watches for a subscription fee.

This imgur album is highly relevant.

If you want to pay money to have garbage you would walk by in a Macy’s or JC Penny mailed to you, go for it.

ETA: better yet, have Aliexpress just mail you a watch every month and take it out of your bank account.

They advertise heavily on Facebook, but I’m not going to pay for 72 months straight of junky Chinese watches on the off chance that they might throw a Rolex in there. Basically, its like playing the lottery, but with watches instead of paper tickets.

I think its kinda cool. Not really cool, but kinda cool. If you’re the type that (A) wears a watch and (B) would be interested in having a new one frequently and (C) doesn’t mind filling a landfill with crappy, outdated watches, then it seems like it’d be fun.

I considered it (briefly) but... no. To your point you’d be better off just taking a second to find a random watch you like the look of on, say, Amazon and buy that once a month.

Most of these subscriprions suck...why would I want something without knowing what I’m getting??

but I like lootcrate for geeky stuff. Always cool stuff and $20

Yup, and no thanks. Go on eBay and start looking around at vintage stuff. I picked up an ‘81 Seiko automatic for $20! Looks great and works well, way better deals can be had.
