The Volvo B8444S engine is a transverse 60 degree V8. SIXTY DEGREE VEE EIGHT. Anybody have experience working with these? How do they sound with a more free-flowing exhaust? I wanna buy one.

These are the Yamaha engines, good luck buying one, I seem to recall that this engine is more crate than an Aston Martin V12

They sound fantastic with straight pipes. I’ve never worked on one, but they look like a huge pain in the ass.

Put it in a kit car, not unlike Nobel. Maybe the Factory Five GTM kit?

Awww. How about the Chevy 2.8 V6. Not bad for 1982 except for a crappy oil pan in the X-11 and roadracing......It ate a lot of cranks.
One interesting footnote in the history of the 2.8l V6 is the LH7 High Output version. Main differences were a different
cam
and a 2bbl Rochester 660cfm carb...good for 135HP, which was really impressive for the early 1980s. This motor was exclusive to the X-body & A-body cars....and with the
Getrag
4-speed in the Citation X-11 it was timed at 8.5 seconds 0-60 in
Road & Track
.

I can’t say my Citation X-11 sounded like this, but it did a great impression of a small block V8.....

Was gonna get an S80 V8. Ended up with this though. I’ve heard the V8 is a pain to work on, though it sounds ridiculous
