I didn’t do 140, but I did do 115 in a 45. I unknowingly passed her mom on the way, who turned around and arrived 3 mins after I did. As soon as I was in the front door she pulls up and starts yelling about how she saw me, and her daughter would NEVER be allowed in the car with me again.

Ruined that evening, but after a week or so we she was allowed to be a passenger again. Being older, and looking back there is no way in hell I would let my daughter ride in a car with someone who drove like I did at 17.

My car is limited to 128.

But seriously, when I first was dating my (now) wife, she lived in Boston, I lived almost 2 hours away in New Hampshire. There were many evenings where I was at home, alone, bored, and would get a text. “What are you up to tonight?”

My wife and I became engaged the summer before I left for grad school. She still had a year of undergrad. I was in TX, she was in VA. That was a long year. I made the trip a couple of times, driving 24 hours straight through.

I think mine will do it, but I have never come anywhere near it. Even during the day there are no roads safe enough for that speed anywhere near me.

50km/h above the speed limit in Ontario is an automatic stunt-driving charge (no actual stunt necessary), and your car gets impounded. The max speed limit anywhere is 100 km/h (though everybody does 120, or 75ish mph), so 90mph+ if caught is an automatic charge.

That’s why I try to speed more in Michigan.

Stunt driving? That’s a new one. In many parts of the US, 20 over will get you a reckless driving citation. They won’t automatically take your car, but the fine and points are much higher.
