Crack pipe? Or is this what these are fetching these days? I talked to one of their sales guys, and he said he wouldn’t be surprised if EAG picks it up. (They have an ‘03 with less than 9k miles listed for $95k!!)

I could drive 5 minutes from my place and show you that $95k M5 probably sitting outside and also show you why it’s worTh nowhere near that. Eag is a shame

That’s exactly why I bought the SS.

I know its no E39. But it’s not 1 20 yr old car.

I know it’s not a BMW, bu I have a 7 series .. lol.

Good choice! And if it’s got three pedals, it should hold its value well.

This car might be well into the 20s but not $34k. CP.

With some negotiation, I’d say $30-32k is fair for that car (assuming it’s as good as the pictures suggest).

Try to find Oversteer from the Autotrader main page. Just try...

Pricing is weird on this era of M cars particularly the E39 M5. Anything below 60k miles is usually over priced. Then they start to dip. You can score one with around 90k miles for 20ish and having owned a few M cars, that is right where I would want to be on a used one. Even without trouble 50-80k miles is an expensive time.

Around 90k miles to me is perfect. (assuming proper documentation) The car is proven to be well cared for and all of the expensive services will have been taken care of.

I’ve said it more than once on here but the E39 M5 is the most fun “big” sedan I have ever driven. I will definitely own one at some point.

I nearly went that way 5 years ago, but instead bought my E90 M3. In hindsight, the M5 would have depreciated much less, but I’m guessing I would’ve gone to the track fewer times in the M5. =)

With 105k miles and road rash, I’m guessing my M3 is worth $20k if I sold it today. Will be interesting to see what E9x values do in the next 5-10 years. I’ll just keep driving mine in the meantime! Definitely not going to stick it in the garage and hope it will appreciate...

Yeah, that odometer reading is why they’re so high here, but it still feels to me like it’s a ~28k car if everything is right on it.

That said, I’m with you - 53k is reaching the point where it’s overvalued but actually hasn’t been driven *enough* for me.

OMG!!! IT’S THE LAST REAL BMW!!!! After this one they only made Camries for badge snobs. It’s the second cumming of Christ/Spongebob/Noodlemonster. See how it’s all silver because of the saviours .... ????

It floats like a butterfly but stings like a bee!

This was when they should have just dropped the mic and left the stage instead of going on a reunion tour to grab some retirement money. I really looooove this album, and I liked it BEFORE everybody else liked it, but their new charts shit is so uncool. Last week I burned the T-shirts I bought at that grassroots concert BEFORE anybody knew them in a community campfire and felt so liberated!!!!1111111!!eleven!!111!!

Does it come in vinyl?

It’s the vintage brew double hop strawberry winter draught pale ale, milked directly from BMW workers who were born and raised in Dingolfing. Free range of course, and fed only the best of synthetic oils.

There is no other BMW (besides older ones) and it will never break down, because I will never drive really drive it, but I will bore people to death at dinner parties about owning the LAST REAL M-CAR!!!!111!!!eleven!!!

The E39 is the last word, ‘nuff said!

Yep, they never built anything remotely interesting after the holy E39.

I was thinking about getting an E39 M5 when I got my E90. I didn’t want to deal with a 10 year old car, which is why I got a 1 owner 15k mile 3 year old car instead.

I’m curious where the values on the E90 go. That said, I could probably sell mine for around 40k, which is only 10k less than I paid for it 3 years and 26k miles later. Mine sits in the garage most days, but it still gets a nice thrashing every weekend. I don’t plan on getting rid of it, which is why I DD the 3. I’ve put just under 15k miles on it.

From what Doug D said this thing may be worth the money. For me, it’d be much newer, CPO, and chock full of airbags.

Almost everything outside of the car search is useless on autotrader anyway so they should really have the homepage highlight that they have relatively frequent original blog and video content.
