I just found this on one of my local Craigslist pages:
The Vehicross is one of my dream cars. I’ve loved it forvever, but it’s never the right time and never the right price. But now, I mean I think it might be both?
He says in the ad that the transmission lines are rotted, and that the tranny itself MIGHT not be junk. I need clarification on that because it really should be one or the other. Did the transmission shit the bed and the lines rotted while it was sitting, or are the rotted lines the reason it’s been sitting? That’s an important distinction.
But it’s probably my second favorite color combo right after white with red. It looks like it’s in decent shape, a little rust but not too bad. Interior looks really good.
Ideally I’d sell my Yukon and buy it, but I can’t be without a vehicle that I can move my son with...I can move him with the Vehicross if the Vehicross works, but that’s kind of a crapshoot.
I guess I could sell the black Miata, but the Vehicross, fix it, sell the Yukon, and put that money into the red Miata? I don’t like the idea of selling any Miatas, so that doesn’t work well for me.
Eh, I’ll see if the guy even emails me back.

The manual out of a Rodeo (or a Passport) would bolt right up to both the 3.2 and 3.5. Apparently the firewall is identical to the Rodeo as well, including plugged holes for clutch bits

The real question is: do you want to be an oppo hero?
I’m guessing the lines rotted and leaked before the trans acted up. Fix the lines, throw some fluid in it, might be ok. But then again, if it’s a Honda trans... Maybe not. I’d roll the dice on it for sure.

Nice! Love these weird little shoe cars. There was a beat up Vehicross by me that was listed at $7k. Pretty sure it sold, ad was not up long. Maybe $2500 isn’t that bad?

I’d like the Vehicross to mold me in its own image, haha. I think I’m leaning towards parting out my red Miata to help pay for this truck, along with selling my Yukon. That’ll get me most of the way there.

If I do red Miata, I’d have to part it out. I said the black one because I could basically trade it straight up for the Vehicross. Ideally I’d sell some parts off the red Miata, sell the Yukon, and buy the Vehicross...but I think I need to buy the Vehicross and keep the Yukon until the Vehicross works. Because toddler.

If you’re going to sell the black one, then I recommend swapping over all the goodies it has onto the red one and putting the red’s stock items into the black Miata. Keep the hardtop, they’re not getting any easier to find.
